Author Spotlight: Field Thigpen

We are proud to present one of our new authors: Field Thigpen.

ThigpenFamilyField Thigpen has twenty years of ministry experience having served in various settings as a youth minister, associate pastor, and senior pastor. Thigpen has served as the Pastor of Memorial Baptist Church in his hometown of Bogalusa, LA since 2011. Thigpen is presently a PhD student in Biblical Interpretation at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary where he also teaches pastoral ministry courses as an adjunct professor for Leavell College, NOBTS’ undergraduate institution.

In his first book, Walk Like A Man: A Path Toward Spiritual Maturity, Field draws upon his ministry experience counseling and mentoring others to create a six-week devotional book for men.

Thigpen writes plainly to speak to the heart of men’s uncertainties about identity, leading, and serving others. This book is not simply for young Christians seeking to mature in their faith. Thigpen writes for people who have lived, suffered, and lost. Walk Like A Man pushes readers to continue maturing spiritually despite setbacks. Thigpen speaks to people in broken circumstances and points them towards God’s desire to restore peace in the midst of trials.
